Explanation of the Topic

• Successor: The number that comes immediately after a given number is called its successor. It is found by adding 1 to the number.
  Example: The successor of 35 is 35 + 1 = 36.
• Predecessor: The number that comes immediately before a given number is called its predecessor. It is found by subtracting 1 from the number.
  Example: The predecessor of 50 is 50 – 1 = 49.
