अध्याय में यात्रा व शहर–गाँव के अनुभवों पर आधारित गतिविधियाँ हैं—भीड़भाड़ वाले शहर, मानचित्र पढ़ना, मार्ग बताना, शिक्षक का साक्षात्कार लेना, पड़ोस का सर्वे, समूह शब्द, तथा यात्रा-संबंधी प्रोजेक्ट। उद्देश्य: बच्चों में अवलोकन शक्ति, संवाद, दिशा-बोध और यात्रा-शिष्टाचार विकसित करना।

Why teacher: love for children/subject; Commute: bus/metro; Pets: yes/no; Books: biographies/poetry; Hobbies: gardening/music.
2) Write a paragraph about your teacher (model).
My teacher says she became a teacher because she enjoys helping children learn. She comes by metro every day. She loves reading biographies and her hobbies are singing and gardening. She is kind and explains concepts clearly.
3) How to write a neighbourhood report (model outline).
State total families surveyed, age groups, number educated, observations (e.g., most adults 21–50, many school-going children), and a concluding line on facilities needed.
4) Which is more fun—by aeroplane or by ship? (model)
Aeroplane is faster and gives sky views; ship gives long sea views and open decks. Choice depends on time and interest.
5) Add two more group words (model).
